To know me is to know my love of music. With a diverse taste in music, it’s no secret my most favored genre. Self-proclaimed, “elder emo”, the name is a salute to the music that made me feel seen, a nod to the music that wired my brain and resonated with my soul in my crucial young adult years. The emo community is alive, well, and thriving. As a safe haven, I extend my arms to all embracing each unique individual who seeks any of my services.
Meet the Founder
I’m Andrea Betancourt, a makeup artist and licensed esthetician, multi-passionate beauty service provider, and the most resilient girl on the planet. My journey began unexpectedly transitioning from photography to makeup artistry, where I discovered my purpose in helping others feel beautiful. After 18 years in the industry, I had just left what I thought was, my dream company, feeling a sense of loss. Although I loved doing makeup while working with renowned brands like Sephora, Estee Lauder, and MAC Cosmetics, I yearned for something more.
Driven by my aspirations, I pursued an esthetician license, turning a long-held goal into a reality. My time at Paul Mitchell the School-Austin holds immeasurable value in my heart. As a recipient of our school’s Beacon award, I was privileged to attend an inspiring event in Long Beach, where the Pro Beauty Association and remarkable mentors fueled my passion. Notable, I was the sole esthetician in attendance-a testament to my dedication.
Following a transformative two years at a wax franchise, where I honed my skills as a speed waxing expert through training and the support of my peers, the time has come for me to manifest authenticity. It is with great excitement celebrating a year in business. A creation of a boutique studio that merges all my passions.
